Dr. Kamalain K. Sha’ath, IUG president, received Dr. Paola Manduca, Professor of Genetics, University of Genoa in Italy, to seek cooperation in the field of environment and medicine.
Prof. Rifat Rustom, Vice IUG President for IT & External Relations, Dr. Mufeed Al-Mukhalalati, Faculty of Medicine Dean, Dr. Muhammed Husien, Vice Dean of Engineering Faculty, Dr. Adel Awadallah, assistant professor at the Faculty of Science, Eng. Awni Na’em, General Director of Environment Authority, attended the meeting at the presidential office.
Dr. Sha’ath briefed the delegation about the historical view of IUG referring to the conditions of establishing the university in 1978 adding that the university was targeted in the latest war on the Gaza Strip.
Dr. Sha’ath confirmed that the university is keen to offer the best service for students and the community as well adding that we are lucky that we have students and community who respect education and taking into consideration that it is the best weapon to live.
Dr. Manduca expressed her pleasure to cooperate with IUG and delivered a lecture for IUG students at the conferences hall of Tiba building on the results of poisoning wounds by heavy metals in the Gaza war in December, 2008.
