IUG signs a cooperation agreement with the national university of Malaysia

On behalf of The Islamic university of Gaza (IUG), Prof. Mohammed M. Shabat, the Vice-president for Academic Affairs, has signed a cooperation agreement with the national university of Malaysia, represented by Dr. Mohammed Ameen Imbey, Assistant to Vice President for academic affairs.

The agreement, which was signed during Prof. Shabat’s last visit to Malaysia to take the ISESCO award in physics for 2010, goes around: Working On Joint Programs, Preparing Joint Proposals For Research Projects, Exchanging Information Related To Library Materials And Publications, Exchanging Knowledge Between The Students And The Lecturers Of Both Universities, And Exchanging Visits Between The Officials Of The Two Universities.

His efforts for cooperation did not stop at the doors of the national university; Prof. Shabat has discussed aspects of cooperation between the IUG and the Malaysian university of Science: he visited its faculty of engineering, met Dr. Ahmed Shukrey Mustafa Kamal, the university vice president, and checked the progress of the IUG envoys in master and doctorate programs. It is worthy mentioned that the Malaysian academic officials have praised the high academic level of the IUG envoys.

Prof. Shabat, also, visited the faculty of medicine of Cyberjaya University and met its dean Dr. Mohammed Shuharum. Also, he met Dr. Abed Al- Rasheed Abed Al- Rahman, the dean of higher studies. During the meeting, Prof. Shabat has discussed the issue of exchanging students between the two universities as Cyberjaya University announced that it has received a clear agreement from the ministry of higher education, for the first time, to accept foreign students. Prof. Shabat added that Cyberjaya University expressed its willingness to accept students from the faculty of medicine at the IUG for practical studies during the next summer.
