IUG Opens A Wide Gate for Cooperation with British Universities

Dr. Nazmi Al Masri , Assistant to Vice President for External Relations, accompanied with Dr. Mohammed Hussein , Associate Dean for Research &Development – Engineering Faculty, took a tour around more than ten British and Scottish universities.

Dr. Al Masri declared that the visit to Britain was very successful as ten British universities welcomed the academic collaboration with the IUG, in different fields such as the joint research on topics of common interests between the Palestinian and British researchers.

Dr. Al Masri added that the IUG delegation discussed a group of topics with their British counterparts as : delivering courses jointly, supporting training courses, co supervision, MA programs, and the academic cooperation via the video conference and the internet.

Dr. Hussein and Dr. Al Masri met a group of Scottish and British academic officials, visited a group of institutions, and discussed some issues with The British Universities & Colleges Union (UCU) .

It is worth to mention that the tour included visiting the following British universities: Goldsmiths College, Middlesex University, London School of Economics (LSE ), School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), Anglia Ruskin University, Surrey University, York St John University (YSJU) Glasgow University, Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU),and Strathyclyde University.
