The Third Scientific Conference “Updates in Pediatrics”, that was organized by the Faculty of Medicine, at IUG, recommended to: activate the continued medical education in health and educational institutions ; to encourage the scientific research in the different fields of health, to adopt the scientific research as a Prerequisite for having a higher certificate; especially, the certificate of the Palestinian medical council; to train all workers in the children’s wards and nurseries to revive the hearts of kids.
The conference, also, called for: applying the laws of the United Nations for child protection, exerting more interest in children nutrition and health, establishing a laboratory diagnosis of genetic and metabolic diseases, taking more measures for increasing the community awareness of the dangerous impacts of inbreeding as blood and metabolism diseases.
The Conference ,in addition, encouraged applying: the preventive protocols of the national research , recommendations of the Conference of the Islamic University and other conferences in this topic, the results of the global studies, and the evidence-based medicine in the treatment of childhood illnesses, particularly, the common surgical diseases.
The Conference confirmed on the importance of :establishing a center for heart surgery for children, attracting expertise from abroad, raising the public awareness of the dangers of toxic pesticides that are used in agriculture and rodent control.
The Conference urged the establishment of specialized centers for: the kinetic rehabilitation, the kids’ artificial kinetic parts and terminal disabilities shedding light on: improving the environmental conditions, increasing the citizens’ health awareness of the prevention of eye diseases that are common among the children.
