A delegation from Miles of Smiles”2″ Convoy visited IUG headed by Dr. Issam Abu Yosif, Interpal Board of Trustees vice Chairman, and Mr.Ihsan Hendriks, President of Muslim Judicial Council of South Africa
MP Jamal N. Al-Khodari, IUG Board of Trustees Chairman, Dr. Kamalain K. Sha’ath, IUG President, Mr. Khalid Al-Hindi, IUG secretary of Board of Trustees chairman, Prof. Muhammed Shabat, vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Rifa’at Rustom, vice President for IT and External Relations, Dr. Mofeed Al- Mokhalalati, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Mr. Husam Ayesh, Vice Director of Public Relations, received the delegation.
MP Al-Khodari expressed his high pleasure of the delegation visit confirming that these efforts will surely be a support for the Palestinian people determination and for the higher educational institutions in the region, adding that the university students, who could not pay their tuition fees due to the bad economic situation adding that there are 50% of the students at IUG who were not be able to pay their tuitions.
Dr. Sha’ath briefed them about IUG, its history, establishment, and faculties; and talked about the accomplishments of IUG such as: the inauguration of Holly Qur’an Educational readio and Al- Kitab Broadcasting and wining the Prize of the Islamic Development Bank.
