A Malaysian delegation visited IUG and expressed their pride of IUG and its accomplishments in spite of the bad circumstances of war, destruction and siege. In addition, they praised the aims of IUG represented in being interested in scientific research, serving the community and the human resources.
They also declared that they are ready to help IUG students in collaboration with Malaysian institutions.
The delegation included parliamentarians, academics, students and members in private institutions, and they met with Dr. Kamalain K. Sha’ath, IUG President, Prof. Rifaat Rustom, Vice President for External Relations and IT, Dr. Mofeed Al- Mokhalalati, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Asaad Asaad, Head of Resources Development Center and Dr. Raed Salha, Director of Public Relations Office.
Dr. Sha’ath thanked the delegation for their humanistic efforts and briefed them about IUG and the academic and scientific services it offers to the community and the students as well. Dr. Sha’ath also talked about the effects of the war on IUG, its buildings and students adding that the siege affected communicating with the external world. Moreover, Dr. Sha’ath said that the circumstances hampered many developing projects at IUG.
