IUG Celebrates the Graduation of the First Group of DCHN Diploma

In collaboration with Community Service and Continuing Education Deanship at IUG, the Faculty of Medicine organized an assembly to celebrate the graduation of the first group of graduates of Doctors Child Health and Nutrition Diploma.

MP Jamal Naji Al- Khodari, Chairman of Board of Trustees, Dr. Kamalen Kamel Sha’ath, IUG President, Dr. Basem Naeem, Minister of the MOH in Gaza Strip, Dr. Mofeed Al- Mokhalalati, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Mohammed Al- Sousi, Head of Islamic Relief Office in Palestine, Dr. Alaa Al- Deen Al- Jmassi, Vice Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education Deanship, Mr. Khaled Al- Kahlout, Head of Community Development Institute, artificial personalities, representatives of international institutions in Gaza Strip, employees from IUG and the graduates attended the celebration.

MP Al- Khodari praised the role of MOH and health institutions in Gaza Strip in supporting the Faculty of Medicine and its students. MP Al- Khodari declared that the graduation of this group reflects the integrative efforts of all bodies at IUG. MP Al- Khodari appreciated the efforts of Community Service and Continuing Education Deanship, MOH and Islamic Relief in supporting the Palestinian community.

On his turn, Dr. Sha’ath declared that the graduation of this group lays stress on IUG seeking for serving and supporting the community. Dr. Sha’ath stated that the health sector in Gaza Strip is in a big need to integrated efforts in order to improve the quality of services offered to people in Gaza Strip.

Dr. Al- Mokhalalati stated that this diploma is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Palestinian Medical Council. Dr. Al- Mokhalalati mentioned that the Faculty of Medicine is concerned with organizing training courses and collaborating with concerned bodies in order to improve the levels of students of the Faculty of Medicine.

Dr. Naeem appreciated the level of services offered by IUG to the community saying that this level is consolidated by the collaboration between IUG and ministries, institutions and various bodies in the Palestinian community.

Dr. Al- Sousi declared that the Islamic Relief is concerned with supporting the educational, humanistic and health sectors in the Palestinian community and carrying out programs and projects that serve the Palestinian community.

At the end of the celebration, Mr. Al- Kahlout read the graduation protocol and the university council decision which gives the graduates the diploma degree. Besides, graduation certificates were given to the graduates doctors who are 14 ones.
