A Bahraini delegation led by Royal Charity Organization Secretary General Dr. Mustafa Al Sayyed and head of the Executive Bahraini Committee for Supporting Palestinian People in Gaza, visited Islamic University of Gaza yesterday.
“You have the honor to be the best in your academic level…” Dr. Al-Sayyed said in his speech at the meeting room of IUG President Office.
Dr. Al-Sayyed condemned the Israeli destruction to such an academic institution at the Gaza Strip adding that the destruction is inhuman to the people and their culture.
The aid and support to the IUG and the Gaza Strip is sponsored by the directives of His Majesty King Hamad, who has ordered immediate relief for the people of Gaza.
“This order is now being implemented by ROC board of trustees and Bahrain National Committee for the Support of Palestinians in Gaza chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.” Dr. Al-Sayyed said.
MP Jamal N. Al-Khodari, IUG Board of Trustees chairman, welcomed the delegation and the efforts of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, in supporting the Palestinian people.
“It is a historical moments to meet and have a support from the Bahraini kingdom and government to contribute in breaking the siege on the Palestinian people” MP Al-Khodari added.
Dr. Kamalain Sha’ath, IUG President, confirmed that IUG is a sample in the Palestinian society who has a role in its progress; adding that there is 50% of its students who could not pay their tuition fees in addition to the breakdown of the rebuilding process due to the imposed siege on the Gaza Strip. However the university overcomes many of these problems by finding alternatives to meet the challenges.
