Business and Technology Incubator at IUG is among the winners of Technology Business Plan Competition 2010.

Sponsored by Intel for the second year, the Palestine Information and Communications Technology Incubator (PICTI) organized an award ceremony announcing the winners of the Technology Business Plan Competition 2010.

Students from IUG and Palestine University won the first prize for competition among universities of Gaza Strip while students from IUG won the second prize for competition among Palestine and students from IUG and AL- Azhar University won the third prize.

Engineer Mohammed Skeik, Executive Manager of the incubator at IUG, Mr. Ahmed AL- Farra, member of board of directors in PICTI , Mr. Mohammed Al- Fasees, manager of office of Assistant of Vice President for IT, representatives of Palestinian Universities in Gaza Strip, supervisors of business plans of students and the participant students attended the celebration.

It is worthy to mention that Intel has sponsored the thirteen dedicated cash awards in the total amount of $15,500 distributed over seventeen winning projects in the West Bank and Gaza. The competition was also launched in cooperation with the Centers of Excellence at four Palestinian universities including Birzeit, An-Najah, Polytechnic and Islamic University.
