External Relations Office at IUG organized a video conference meeting between students from IUG and students from Goldsmith College at London University. The meeting was held at the smart room in IT building at IUG.
Dr. Nazmi AL- Masri, Assistant of Vice President for External Relations and IT, Dr. Hala AL- Khozondar, Coordinator of External Relations at the office of Vice President for External Relations and IT, Mr. Husam Ayesh, Vice Director of Public Relations and students from IUG participated in the meeting.
The students from IUG talked about the impact of the siege on the educational march and how the students adapt with the bad circumstances in Gaza Strip. In addition, they mentioned some of the difficulties they face such as: the difficulty of traveling abroad to pursue their studies. Another difficulty is that the academic exchange is badly affected as academics can’t travel abroad to participate in international conferences or meeting. Moreover, some students lost their graduation projects under the rubble as a result of shelling some of the university’ s buildings. students also talked about the ways the university followed to restart its work after the war. Furthermore, the students talked about the problem of the lack of electricity and fuel and its bad effects on the educational march.
