Part of the project of rebuilding the labs that were damaged in the last war on Gaza Strip, the Faculty of Science at IUG opened scientific, environmental and health labs. Rebuilding theses labs was funded by Arab Medicines Union Office in Gaza.
Prof. Mohammed Shabat, Vice IUG President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Rifaat Rustom, Vice IUG President for External Relations and Information Technology, Dr. Mofeed Al-Mokhalalati, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, member in Arab Medicines Union, Dr. Nezam Al-Ashqar, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Zeyad Abo Heen and Dr. Kamal AL-Nabrees, Vices of Dean of the Faculty of Science, Mr. Ali AL-Tarshawi, Head of Environment and Earth Sciences Department and Mr. Mohammed AL-Majdalawi, Head of Arab Medicines Union Office in Gaza attended the celebration of the inauguration.
Prof. Shabat appreciated the great efforts of Arab Medicines Union in supporting developmental projects that serve both educational and health sectors. He thanked them for supporting rebuilding the labs of the Faculty of Science at IUG. He also highlighted the importance of labs in improving the practical side in the process of education and giving the students the opportunity to improve their professional practical skills.
Dr. AL-Mokhalalati highlighted the strong relationship between IUG and Arab Medicines Union saying that this relationship helped in supporting many developmental projects that serve students and the community as well.
Dr. AL-Mokhalalati talked about the projects and programs done by the Union to serve educational and health sectors. He thanked the union for funding the inauguration of the labs that encourage students to improve their educational and practical skills.
