Mathematics department at IUG has organized a scientific study day. Dr. Zeyad Abo Heen, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Raed Salha, Head of Mathematics Department at the Faculty of Science, staff members from Mathematics Department, some staff members form Mathematics Department in Al-Aqsa and Al-Azhar Universities and College of professional and applied sciences and students from Mathematics Department attended the study day.
In the study day, Dr. Abo Heen talked about the importance of mathematics in strengthening memories and mentalities adding that IUG is interested in scientific research. He shaded light on job opportunities for mathematics graduates saying that he/she can work in: the Ministry of Education, universities, banks, companies, private establishments, ministries,…etc
Dr. Salha declared that this scientific study day aims at widening the field of collaboration between researchers of the same field and improving the academic and research standards for Palestinians. He also talked about the importance of mathematics in developing sciences saying that it leaded to fulfilling scientific creativities in the field of counting, numbers, statistics, engineering, algebra, …etc. he added that mathematics serves other sciences such as: chemistry, physics, economics, statistics,… etc.
Dr. Jaser Sarsour, Dr. Mousa Abo- Marouf and Prof. Eessa Al-Habeel participated in the study day and scientific papers done by academics form Al-Aqsa and Al-Azhar Universities and College of Professional and Applied Sciences were submitted for the study day.
