In Collaboration with ICRC, Community Service, at IUG, Opens a Training Course titled International Humanitarian Law

Within the framework of the academic collaboration between IUG and the international committee for the Red Cross, IUG organizes a course on preparing trainers of international humanitarian law. The event of the opening was held in AL-Salam hotel in Gaza.

Dr. Fahd Rabah, Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education, Dr. Eyad Nassr, media Director of Red Cross and Mr. Akram Jouda, director of projects and training in community service and continuing education, attended the inauguration of the course.

Twenty one instructors from the faculties of medicine, nursing, commerce, arts and Shaira and law participated in the training course which is going to continue till 11th February.

Dr. Rabah talked about the importance of the international humanitarian law for the Palestinian society in general and the university instructors in particular as it enhances the international laws included in the educational curriculums.

He added that this training course aims at informing the university instructors of the basics of the international law and encouraging them to benefit and support the academic curriculums which are related to this field.

Dr. Rabah declared that community service is ready to hold other courses and do developmental projects that serve the Palestinian community.
