Faculty of Nursing, at IUG, and Anglia Ruskin University signed a Memorandum of Understanding to the provision of high quality education. The two institutions take deep personal development as the primary aim of education and a key factor of success in business and human affairs. Both recognize the value of the international dimension of their activities and the mutual development of research, teaching and quality assurance activities.
IUG and ARU agreed to commit the necessary staff time and resource to explore opportunities to collaborate on a Masters in Community Mental Health Nursing and a Master in Psychological Therapies; develop staff and students; exchange and arrange visits; in addition to collaborating in research projects.
This Memorandum of Understanding establishes the commitment of both the Islamic University of Gaza and Anglia Ruskin to pursue the development of closer academic links.
Masters in Community Mental Health Nursing taught at the Faculty of Nursing and Education Faculty in collaboration with WHO and ministry of health.
Dr. Ashraf Al- Jadi, Dean of nursing faculty, Dr. Yousef Al-Jesh, Vice Dean of nursing faculty, Dr. Samir Qouta, staff ember at psychological and educational guidance department, Prof, Nargiza Khodjaeva, Technical Officer at Mental Health Office, Prof. Hall Holoran, consultant at World Health Organization and Mr. Deyaa Sayma, Chief of Mental Health Department at World Health Organization Office in Gaza Strip witnessed the agreement.
Dr. Al- Jadi and Prof. Khodjaeva discussed the possibility of enhancing the collaboration between the two universities. The former declared that the mental health nursing master program is the first master program at Nursing Faculty. Prof. Khodjaeva encouraged the collaboration between Nursing Faculty and World Health Organization.
