The 30th Anniversary celebrations will come to a spectacular close in a theatrical show celebrating the historical view of Islamic University of Gaza since its foundation.
Under the auspices of Board of Trustees, IUG exposed a theatrical operetta named “Peace be upon you”.
When more than 1,000 people crowded into central conferences hall, at IUG, to witness a spectacular light show on historical stages of the university since its establishment, MP, Jamal Al- Khodari, IUG Board of Trustees Chairman, Dr. Kamalain Sha’ath, IUG President, members of the board of trustees, members of the university council, a number of legal figures, representatives of governmental institutions, civil society institutions and private institutions, workers at IUG and students from IUG attended the operetta.
The operetta shows the stages of the urban development of IUG beginning with tents, then, asbestos roofed rooms and finally standing buildings which were founded before more than ten years.
The operetta focused on the virtuous values of IUG such as: goodness, peace, science, labor, etc.
The operetta praised establishing scientific and educational institutions saying that they are of the most important achievements of the Palestinian people.
The formation and scenario of the operetta were done by Dr. Kamal Ghonem while the tunes were composed by Hosam Nassar and distributed by the acoustic engineer Mahmoud Selmi.
The operetta was performed by Ezz Allababidi, Mohammed AL- Sawafeeri, Saleem Syam, Hani Rashed and Fadel Abu Neama. It was also performed by Baladna group for performance and produced by Baladna Center for culture and arts. The general supervisor of the operetta was Dr. Yahya Zen Al- deen and its production management was done by Planning and Development dean and Public Relations Office at IUG. The operetta director was the engineer Saleem Syam.
