In cooperation with Faculty of Education, Quality Unit, at IUG, organized a seminar about the education system in Norway. Dr. Oyvind Wistrom, Educational Specialist at UNESCO in Palestine, had a lecture about the difference between education in Norway and Palestine.
Dr. Sana’ Abu Daqa, Assistant of IUG Vice President for Academic Affairs and Chief of Quality Unit, Dr. Elian Al-Holi, Faculty of Education Dean, a number faculty deans and staff, and students from the faculty of education, attended the seminar.
Dr. Wistrom talked about his experience in Bethlehem University saying that his teaching methods is linked with accompanying the students to forests and natural places to give them lectures. He stated that this method help students to learn better via seeing and noticing. He compared between the Norwegian and Palestinian education systems saying that students in Norway don’t care about learning like students in Palestine who tend to join universities to learn.
