The engineering Faculty, at IUG, celebrated the inauguration of a computer lab for the Architecture Department.
Prof. Mohammed Shabat, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Rifaat Rustom, Vice President for External Relations & Information Technology, Prof. Shafiq Jendya, Engineering Faculty Dean, Dr. Asaad Asaad, Chief of Resources Development Center, Dr. Nader El-Namra, Chief of Architecture Department, Mr. Motaz Oda, representative of the International Muslim Hands Establishment on behalf of Dr. Saed Saleh, Director of the Establishment office in Palestine and a number of staff members in the engineering faculty attended the meeting of the opening.
Prof. Jendya talked about the importance of the continuous development that is achieved by the faculty and being distinguished among its counterparts at the other universities.
This is due to having soil and plant labs, projects and researches labs and heritage architectural center.
Dr. Shabat confirmed that the Engineering Faculty seeks for fulfilling the universities aims. He also appreciates the great efforts of the International Muslim Hands Establishment in supporting the higher educational institutions.
Dr. Namara thanked the establishment for its support in processing the computer lab. He assured that opening this lab proves the faculty interest to cope with computerized programs, the matter that serves Bachelor and Master students.
Mr. Oda welcomed the cooperation with the Islamic University of Gaza and said that opening this lab indicates the university’s matching with the scientific development. He states that the establishment aims at facing poverty through education.
