Islamic University of Gaza held a training course for the development of academic staff who will be teaching in the Master Program -community mental health, nursing, in a series of preparations for the inauguration of the program. The quality unit of the IUG will supervise the whole course.
Professor Paul Odhaloren – a WHO expert, clinical psychologist is one of the lecturers in the course. Representatives from the faculties of nursing and education of the Islamic university of Gaza and the ministry of heath will participate in the course.
Professor Odhaloren during the session addresses the nature of the condition in the field of mental health concepts and mechanisms to approach treatment of mental illnesses.
Dr. Aish Samour – Director of Mental Health, Ministry of Health – addressed the reality and the future of nursing in the field of mental health.
Dr. Youssef Al-Jaish – Vice-Dean of Nursing Faculty – talked about the evolving role of the nurse in mental health as a key factor in the treatment of the disease.
