Heritage Architecture Centre, at IUG, Signs an Agreement with El-Falastinia for Developing and Planning

Architectural Heritage Centre, at IUG, Signed an Agreement with El-Falastinia for Developing and Planning at the office of IUG President to establish Riyad El-Almi center for Palestinian heritage.

On Behalf of AHC, Dr. Shafeeq Jondia, Engineering Faculty Dean, signed the agreement and Mr. Riyad El-Almi, Administration Council Chief, on behalf of El-Falastinia for Development & Planning.

Dr. Kamalain K. Sha’ath, IUG President, Dr. Fareed El-Kiq, vice Dean of Engineering Faculty, Dr. Mohammed Hussein, vice Dean of Engineering Faculty for Development and Planning, Dr. Nader El-Namra, Architectural Engineering Department Chief, Dr. Abdullrahman Mohammed, AHC Chief, attended the agreement.

Mr. Riyad El-Almi, the owner of El-Almi archeological house, is interested in rebuilding and maintaining archeological buildings because this serves the Palestinian community.

According to the agreement, El-Falastinia for developing and learning gives the center the right to rebuild and maintain the house, which has been founded 300 years ago, in order to make use of it to serve the Palestinian community, and this indeed, will enhance the Palestinian history.

It is worth mentioning that the Architectural Heritage Center is the only center in Gaza that is interested in preserving old buildings and rebuilding them.
