Dr. Kamalain Sha’ath, IUG President, received Prof. Wolm Walter, Chief of International Academic Council for Gaza Community Mental Health Programme.
Dr. Rifaat Rustom, Vice IUG President for External Relations and Information Technology, Dr. Nazmi Al-Masri, Vice IUG President for ER & IT Assistant, Dr. Elayyan AL Houly, Faculty of Education Dean, Dr. Samir Quta, ex-Chief of Psychology Department, attended the meeting in the IUG President office.
Prof Walter had a lecture at IUG conferences Hall to students of Psychology Department and attended by the faculty dean and the staff.
Prof. Walter expressed his respect to the IUG steadfastness after the Gaza war, which resulting the destruction of Engineering and Scientific labs buildings of IUG and sent a message for students to develop themselves as deep as possible and to look at their strength to complete their duty to serve the community and the people of the Gaza Strip.
Dr. Sha’ath appreciated the efforts of Dr. Walter and confirmed that the most of the higher institutions were targeted during the Gaza war in December and January 2009.
