In Cooperation with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and supported by Japan Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, Islamic University of Gaza conducted a training entitled” Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing”, and implemented by E-Learning Center.
Dr. Ala’a Ejmasi, Vice Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education, Mr. KOIKE Seiichi, Director of JICA in Palestine, Mr. Eyas Abu Huje’er, Manager of JICA office in Gaza Strip, Rawad Hammad, eLearning Center Supervisor at IUG, and Prof. Shunji Murai, Professor of remote sensing at Yokyo University, attended the first session of the course.
Dr. Ejmasi briefed about remote sensing & GIS confirming that remote sensing course has been designed for promoting remote sensing for sustainable development of natural resources and environment.
Prof. Murai talked about fundamentals of remote sensing, remote sensors and platforms for remote sensing.
Mr. Seiichi thanked IUG for their efforts in participating to develop the community and individuals by cooperated in such courses.
