On Wednesday 29 July 2009, Islamic University of Gaza celebrated the graduation of a new class, of its 28th graduation ceremonies, from the Faculty Osoul Eldeen and Postgraduates programs.
The ceremony was attended by MP. Jamal Alkhodari, Board of Trustees Chairman, Mr. Muhammed Shama, Board of Trustees Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees members, Dr Kamalain Shaath, IUG President, Dr. Naseem Yaseen, Osourl Eldeen Dean, Dr. Ziyad Migdad, Postgraduate Dean, university officials, other academic leaders, businessmen and community leaders.
Mr. Shama’a congratulated the faculty of Osoul Eldeen for its great success in different fields. He also thanked the University for its Efforts in supporting the faculty and its staff by offering scholarships to meet the needs of community.
Dr. Kamalain Shaath, IUG president, confirmed the importance of using new technological devices in preaching, spreading Islam all over the world, and explaining Islam concepts such as : tolerance, justice, right, and freedom. He also thanked Quran Center for their role in holding different training courses, rehabilitating of teachers and preachers, and teaching Arabic to non native speakers of Arabic.
Dr. Shaath stated that IUG has more than (40) postgraduate programs including (1000) male and female students. He added that the new academic year will witness the opening of three new programs; IT, Development studies, Environmental sciences. Dr. Shaath also confirmed the importance of linking the scientific researches with the needs of community.
