Information Technology Faculty, at IUG, organized the Third Information Technology Forum, under the auspices of Dr. Yusif Al-Mansi, Minster of Communications and IT Ministry.
Mp. Jamal N. El-Khodari, IUG Board of Trustees chairman, Dr. Kamalain K. Sha’ath, IUG President, Dr. Ala’a M. Al-Halees, Faculty of Information Technology Dean, Dr. Abed Al-Kareem Nejem, Vice President of Al-Azhar University, Dr. Yehya Al-Saraj, University College of Applied Sciences Dean, and a group of university staff and students.
Under the theme “Towards an information society”, the forum aims to highlight the role of regional institutions in the development of social use of information technology.
Dr. Al-Mansi suggested a national consultation council to organize a Palestinian Electronic government to be the best investment for a conclusive improvement. Dr. Al-Mansi added that the government has been in a developing step to establish the E-government.
Mp. El-Khodari confirmed that we can unify the Palestinian people via technology to meet the external world under the imposed siege in Gaza Strip. Mp. El-Khodari added that this forum must symbolize a good investment for the technological techniques to break the imposed siege on the Palestinian people.
Dr. Sha’ath stated that the developed nations should have a good chance in the field of information technology to have the best link with progressed countries. Dr. Sha’ath considered the IT forum a good link to offer the best skills for students and to have quick relations with the community institutions.
