Dr. Kamalain K. Sha’ath, IUG president, accompanied with Dr. Ala’ Al-Jmasi, Vice Dean of Community Service & Continuing Education Deanery, came back after a work tour around Europe and Arab Worlds to meet number of university and scientific research directors and leaders; the tour included Italy, Slovenia, France , Belgium and Egypt.
To Italy
Dr. Sha’ath attended the General Assembly of Mediterranean Engineering Schools’ Network (RMEI) and had a chance to present a general view, including a video, about IUG and the Faculty of Engineering at the university in addition to another participation about the crisis of water in the Gaza Strip and the affects of Israeli war on the Gaza Strip especially on Gaza water.
During the visit to Italy, Dr. Sha’ath met Prof. Leo Vinlint, director of RMEI, Prof. Ahmad Khattab and Prof. Mustafa Al-Adnani, vice directors of RMEI, in addition to meeting Mr. Gilles Pennequin, Responsible for durable development at France.
To Slovenia
During his visit to Slovenia, Dr. Sha’ath attended the Europe Day which is organized by Euro-Mediterranean University to present students experience in different universities in Europe. At the visit, Dr. Sha’ath met Prof. Bostjan Zeks, Minister of Cultural Ministry in Slovenia and Prof. Joseph Mifsud, University of EMUNI president.
To France
In France, Dr. Sha’ath, accompanied with Dr. Al-Jmasi, met Prof. Michele Gendreau-Massaloux, President of the
“Agence universitaire de la Francophonie ” to link IUG with the French universities; in addition, Dr. Sha’ath visited the institute of Europe for Human Sciences in Paris “IESH”; Mr. Ahmed Jaballah, director of IESH, received him.
To Egypt
During his visit to Egypt, Dr. Sha’ath, accompanied with Dr. Al-Jmasi, visited the Arab Council for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research in Cairo.
Dr. Sha’ath seeks cooperation with Prof. Deyaa Ahmed El-Kadi, Deputy Director of Arab Council for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research confirming on the importance of finding coordination between IUG and the council. .
