A Delegation from Hope Fleet Visits IUG

A delegation from Hope Fleet to Gaza headed by Senator Fernando Rossi and 12 European Parliament members, visited Islamic University of Gaza today offering hope to the educational institutions in Gaza Strip.

Dr. Kamalain Sha’ath, IUG President, Dr. Adel Awadallah, Vice IUG President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Refaat Rustom, Vice IUG President for IT and External Relations, Dr. Salem Helles, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, received and welcomed the delegation.

Dr. Sha’ath appreciated the great efforts of people and communities that stand active beside the innocent Palestinian people, who had the most suffering conditions during the latest three years.

Dr. Sha’ath briefed the delegation about IUG history over the 30 years of establishment and its service for the local society and more than 20,000 students.

Dr. Rustom talked about the latest Israeli attack on the university that resulting the damage of two main buildings in the university and the lack of material to rebuild those Engineering and Science Buildings.

Mr. Rossi confirmed that the delegation came of hope to the people in Gaza adding that the university is surely the hope of any community to be the best.

The people in the delegation appreciated the efforts of IUG among the challenges and bad circumstances in Gaza hopping to establish good relations with the university in the future.
