An Agreement with Prince Claus Fund Institution to rehabilitate Architectural Heritage Center, at IUG

Dr. Adnan Enshasi, Engineering Faculty Dean, at IUG, signed an agreement with Mr. Els van der Plas, Director of Prince Claus Fund institution, to rehabilitate the center of Architectural Heritage.

Prof. Adel Awadallah, IUG vice president for Academic Affairs, Dr. Fared Al-Qeq, Head of Engineering Architectural Department, Mr. Husam Dawood, director of Architectural Heritage center, and Mr. Khalid Al-Hallaq, Public Relation committee chief in the faculty, attended the protocols of the agreement.

Prof. Awadallah appreciated the Prince Claus Fund efforts to support the university restoring the local capacity for heritage conservation.

Dr. Enshasi confirmed that this grant reflects the commitment of Prince Claus Fund towards protecting cultural heritage against war and natural disasters; adding that this support will include the equipments (PCs, LapTops, LCDs, Printers, Scanners, etc) in addition to the all other items and mainly the furniture.

Dr. Al-Qeq added that this project came as a part of the “Prince Claus Fund for Culture and Development” and “Cultural Emergency Response” program that aimed at protecting cultural heritage against war and natural disasters.
