Under the auspices of Board of Trustees, Islamic University of Gaza launched a reconstruction campaign in order to reconstruct what was destroyed by the Israeli jets. The reconstruction cost is estimated about 14 million US $ in addition to 10 million US$ to enable students start their second semester.
IUG, the first academic institution for higher education in Gaza was targeted by Israeli jets. The two main laboratory buildings for science and engineering were completely destroyed while other campus buildings were partially damaged. More than 50 labs for medical technology, science and engineering became a pile of rubble.
IUG which started 30 years ago with tents and became a significant institution works hard and looking at the future in a great hope.
As a reaction to the Israeli aggression against IUG, the Board of Trustees launched a Reconstruction Campaign to overcome this crisis in an effort to enable 25000 students continue their education. The reconstruction and student aid cost is estimated about 25 million US $.
IUG Board of Trustees invites every individual or institution interested in helping Palestinians to participate in the process of reconstruction and relieving students and their families.
