IUG Completes Graduation Ceremonies

Islamic University of Gaza completed its graduation ceremonies on Thursday, July 31, 2008, after twelve days of honoring undergraduate and postgraduate students. This class was entitled as “Facing Siege Class”.

Graduates’ family members and friends, university officials, other academic leaders, politicians and community leaders, attended the last day of the IUG ceremonies.

During the Faculty of Engineering ceremony, the engineer, Mr. Jamal El Khodari, Board of Trustees Chairman, confirms that Engineering Faculty is keen to enhance their staff, students and ways of teaching.

Mr. El Khodari added that the Faculty of Engineering is not only serving students but also the society which lives in as well. Therefore, the faculty established a center for checking material and soil as well as concrete in addition to the Research and Projects lab. The Faculty of Engineering established Architectural Heritage Center to help people appreciate, restore, and maintain traditional properties.

Dr.Sha’ath appreciates the Faculty efforts in widening the university relations and cooperation agreements with Foreign and Arabic universities, including: University of Malaysia, Liverpool University, Nottingham University and Glasgow University of Britain, Florida University in USA, Melano University in Italy.
