A delegation from University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa visited Islamic University of Gaza in order to participate in reconstructing what was destroyed.
Dr. Kamalain Shaath, IUG President, Dr. Rifaat Fustom, vice president for IT & External Relations, Dr. Mufeed Al-Mukhalalati, Faculty of Medicine Dean received Dr. Imtiaz Suliman and Dr. Ismael Goga from KwaZulu-Natal University in South Africa.
Dr. Saath briefed the delegation about the history of IUG and its services for students and society as well. While Dr. Rustom talked about the destruction of the university after the Israeli attack as well as the efforts of reconstruction and refreshment of the university.
The delegation expressed their sadness after the university destruction and offered their help of sending some academics to the Faculty of Medicine.
