Dr. Kamalain Sha’ath, IUG president, Dr. Rifaat Rustom, vice president for IT and External Relations, Dr. Samir Safi, Community Service and Continuing Education Dean, and Dr. Raed Salha, Public Relations Director, received Mr. Andreu Claret, Executive Director of Anna Lindh Euro Mediterranean Foundation for dialogue between Cultures, and Mr. Gianluca Solera, Network Coordinator, aiming at strengthening cooperation between the University and the Foundation.
Dr. Sha’ath briefed the visitors about the Islamic University of Gaza that has 22,000 students to be the biggest university in Palestine. Dr. Sha’ath referred to the university concern to establish good external relations with the international community.
Mr. Claret talked about Anna Lindh Euro Mediterranean Foundation history and its concern to support the projects that strengthen dialogue between cultures.
Mr. Claret confirmed on the importance of team work within individuals, communities and the participated foundations at Anna Lindh.
Mr. Solera briefed about the projects that Anna Lindh funds in the region and joint projects implemented by members organizations hoping that IUG will have an active role in the institutions’ activities.
