IUG announced the names of the recipients of the 2008 IUG Distinguished Scientific Research Awards. The senior award winners include Prof. Maher Al-Huli, Dr. Nabil Abu Ali, Dr. Nabil Ho whi , Dr. Bassam Abu Thaher.
Dr. Maher Al-Huli, Dean of Sharia and Law Faculty, is being honored for his contributions to the field of Sharia Sciences. Dr. Al-Huli has a group of published books, researches and studies in different scientific fields. He had a number of participations in directing conferences, scientific sessions and workshops.
Dr. Nabil Abu Ali, a lecturer at Arabic Department in the college of Arts, is being honored for his contributions to the field of Human Sciences. Dr. Abu Ali wrote a group of scientific researches distributed into books. He participated in many training courses in the Foreign Universities in addition to participating in a group of workshops, scientific researches, sessions and others.
Dr. Nabil Ho whi and Dr. Bassam Abu Thaher, are being honored for their contributions to the field of Natural and Engineering Sciences. Since 2002, Dr. Ho whi published 17 scientific researches out of 27 and directed more than 30 researches in the different international fields and conferences.
Most importantly is that he got Al-Najah University Award for Scientific Research in 2005, the Fulbright scholarship, Royal Society Univ. of Birmingham, UK scholarship in 2001 and ICIP scholarship in 1998.
Dr. Bassam Abu Thaher has 22 published researches and has been awarded the scientific research award in Jordan in 1990. Dr. Abu Thaher had got the IUG scientific research in 2002, 2003 and 2004 and Alexender scholarship in Germany in 2006.
