Faculty of Medicine at Islamic University of Gaza organized the first Medical Conference, entitled “Medical Education and Public Health in Palestine”, to discuss the status of medical education and public health, and to come-up with proper recommendations to keep up with international standards.
The Conference is funded by World Islamic Relief, Arab Medical Union and International Support Group for Palestine.
More than 70 researchers participated in this important conference.
Mr. Jamal Al-Khodari, Board of Trustees Chairman, Mr. Muhammed Shama, Vice-Chairman of Board of Trustees, members of the Board of Trustees and members of the Palestinian Legislative Council, Dr. Kamalain Shaath, IUG President, members of the University Council, Dr. Mufeed Al-Mokhalaty, Dean Of Medicine Faculty, and a group of the University staff attended the opening session of the conference.
The Conference lasted for two days at the IUG Conferences Hall which was overcrowded by doctors, researchers and interested people from all over the area.
In the Conference, Doctors and researchers discussed some medical issues which are very important to the Palestinian community to enhance the medical education within this society.
