IHH Delegation Visits IUG
A delegation from Humanitarian Relief Foundation in Turkey (IHH) visited Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) on Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Abudllah Bieraq, along with a group of the institution members, are welcomed by Mr. Jamal Al-khodari- Chairman of Board of Trustees at IUG, Dr. Kamalain Shaath, IUG President, and a group of university staff.
Mr. Jamal gave a brief introduction about the role of IUG in offering help to students and society through creating the best atmosphere to students for learning and supporting the needy students.
Dr Shaath explained the specialties that IUG offers, which include 50 academic programs in ten University faculties, in addition to 30 postgraduate programs. The IUG president confirmed that the university was able to develop its performance despite the continuous siege on the Gaza Strip.
Mr. Husam Ayesh, Vice Director of Public Relations Office at IUG, toured the Turkish Delegation over IUG buildings, such as the Central Library, the Medical Laboratory and the university labs.
