The Second International Engineering Conference on “Construction and Development” Is Held at IUG
The second International Conference on construction and development commenced with on opening ceremony attended by interested people in the field of construction and development at IUG on 3rd September.
Mr Jamal Alkhodary, Board of Trustees Chairman, praised the international and local participation in the conference as it will bring out great models in developing fields of engineering in Palestine.
On his speech, Dr Kamalain shaat, IUG President, assured the importance of scientific research especially in hard conditions and closure imposed on the Gaza strip as this research will help decision makers in strategic planning.
Prof. Adnan Enshasi, Dean of Engineering Faculty, said that development, and construction in Gaza should be based on scientific principles and meet the needs of Palestinian community.
Mr Rafeeg Mikki, Engineering Union Chairman, asked the conference participants to bring effective recommendations for the community.
Dr Fahd Rabah, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, said that 70 research papers are presented to the conference by 120 researchers during two days in many sessions.
