Awards for Two IUG Students
Two students from Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) succeeded in “Investor Research Competition” for the year 2007, which was organized by Palestine Securities Exchange. Forty-nine students, from different local universities, participated in the competition.
Adel Muhamad Thabet, a Student in Engineering Faculty, and Ghassan Awni Al-Eila, a student in Administration Department, succeeded besides 8 other students from local universities.
Each student will be awarded 250$ by Palestine Securities Exchange PSE for two research projects which will ultimately benefit Palestinian investment.
It is worth mentioning that Thabet introduced a research entitled “Role and use of Technology in Palestine Securities Exchange…” discussing issues related to technology and capital markets impacts. Also, the techniques used in Palestinian markets and the available possibilities, in addition to online trading via the Internet.
While Al-Eila introduced a research entitled “Cultural Investment Impact on the Palestinian Investment”, discussing issues related to the useful data that help investor to take his investment decision.
