The Optometry Department Holds a Scientific Day Entitled
“Refractive Eyes”
The Optometry Department at IUG arranged the first scientific day entitled “Refractive Eyes”. Dr.Basim Naeem, Health Minister in the Palestinian caretaker government, Dr.Kamaleen Shaath, IUG President, Dr. Naser Farahat, Science Faculty Dean, Dr. Muhammed Al-Tarshawe, and Optometry Department Chief attended the first meeting of this day.
Dr. Basim Naeem assured the importance of positive relations between the formal and society institutions considering the best steadfastness during the establishment of the department.
The health minister considered that every new specialization is a distinctive step to support the Palestinian people and called for cooperation between Ministry of Health and the Palestinian universities to meet the civilians’ needs in the Gaza Strip.
Dr. Shath talked about the success of the department since establishment after the enhancement of scientific research and society service.
IUG president considered initiating the scientific day of Refractive Eyes is avenue to improve the Palestinian life and hopes.
