Faculty of Education at IUG Holds its 3rd Conference
Faculty of Education at IUG organized its third conference “Quality in General Education as Avenue for Distinction” from 30-31 October.
23 research papers were presented to the conference by 40 researchers from different universities.
The conference treated variety of subjects as: quality of education from Islamic perspective, quality standards, quality of Palestinian textbooks and quality implementation obstacles.
The Conference which lasted for two days has five sessions besides the opening ceremony.
In the opening ceremony, Mr Jamal Al Khodary, Chairman of Board of Trustees, mentioned the expertise of IUG in quality as it is the first university to apply such a system in the area.
On his turn, Dr Kamalain Shaat, IUG President, assured the teamwork which succeeds in fighting poverty and disease.
Dr Mohammed Shuqair, Deputy Minister of Education raised different issues for the conference such as qualifying teachers and asked for research that meets the needs of Ministry of Education to achieve quality in education.
Professor Abdelghany Aboud, Conference Guest from Egypt asked paying attention to the teacher’s mission. Professor Mahmoud Abu Daff, Dean of the Faculty asked seeking quality concepts in Islamic traditions.
Finally, Professor Faud Alajez, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, briefed the audience on the Conference procedures and sessions
