Launching the Corner Stone of Intel IT Excellence Center (Intel) at IUG
Under the auspices of President, Mahmoud Abbass IUG celebrated launching the Corner Stone of Intel IT Excellence Center (Intel) on Sunday 3rd 2006 at the new campus in the middle of Gaza.
In the ceremony that was attended by personalities and interested people from different fields. Mr. Jamal Alkhoudary, Minister of IT and Telecommunications and Chairman of Board of Trustees, thanked president Abbass, who gave his instructions to grant IUG this land, he thanked also Intel company for generous donation in establishing the Excellence Center in collaboration with ANERA.
On his turn Dr Kamalain Shaat, IUG President, said that the project will enhance hope for Palestinians as IUG is fully committed to opening its doors to people who could benefit from IUG achievement and the experience of distinguished companies like Intel. Dr Shaat added that the Center will serve the community in the field of IT and will help overcoming different economical problems.
Mr. Peter Gubser, President of ANERA said that he is proud to be part with the new section in the Islamic University of Gaza, and it is wonderful to see the young students from all departments, because they are the future of Palestine. He added that the center would help in the educational process and job creation.
Mr. Richard Hall, Representative of Intel Company, told the audience that this is the forth building for Intel to be established in Palestine. He said that this project would help hundreds of people getting good careers, as he feels optimistic to see brilliant minds working in it.
Ms Marzia Qassem, from Intel Company, said that this is a good chance to help the Palestinian people, as Palestinians will also contribute helping others.
This brief ceremony was followed by launching the Corner Stone Intel IT Excellence Center (Intel).
