Second International Conference of Science and Development Held at IUG
Faculty of Science, and Scientific Research Deanery organized the Second International Conference of Science and Development on 6th of March 2007 which was attended by specialists from different universities.
In the opening ceremony, Dr Kamalain Shaat, IUG President, said that the scientific research is in progress and talked about the activities for IUG and the awards of the staff.
Dr Mohamed R. Al-Agha, the Palestinian Minister of Agriculture, appreciated the graduates of IUG, and the scientific achievements. Dr. Al-Agha added that Faculty of Science reached the level of the most progressive universities, and distinguished by its laboratories, mission, syllabus, and the academic staff.
Mr Ashraf Agel, Egypt Ambassador in Palestine, pressed that IUG is like the European universities. Mr Agel said that the Second International Conference of Science and Development is clear evidence on IUG efforts towards scientific research.
Dr Nasser Farahat, Dean of Science Faculty, welcomed the guests of the conference and talked about his deanery and thanked IUG administration for supporting the conference. Dr Farahat said that the period between the first conference and the second conference witnessed many distinguished achievements, such as the International Bank Award, Islamic Bank Award, and Galileo Award. He thanked the conference supporters especially E’telaf Alkhair, Doctor’s Union, Egypt and Rahma International in Kuwait.
