CCC and EEF Delegation to IUG

Mr. Jamal Alkhodary, Chairman of IUG Board of Trustees and Dr. Kamalain Sha’at received a delegation from the Education for Employment Foundation, CCC and UPA. The delegation members were L. Michael Hager, EEF President, Jasmine di Florio, EEF Vice President for Strategic Planning. Mr. Nafez Alhosainy, CCC and Mary Shaat, from UPA in Washington. Mr. Al Khodary welcomed the delegation and praised their mission in helping Palestinians and referred to the visit Mr. Haseeb Sabbagh,Chairman of CCC, paid to IUG and the generous donations with labs for Faculty of Engineering that serves both university students and the community.
On his turn, Dr. Kamalain Sha’at, IUG President, briefed the delegation on IUG aims, mainly offering higher education. He discussed with the delegation the techniques used to help graduates in finding jobs. Dr. Sha’at encouraged the delegation for mutual cooperation with CCC to benefit the Palestinian community.
The delegation attended two workshops at the university. The first was at Faculty of Commerce. Dr. Salem Helles,Vice President for Administrative Affairs and Member of the Faculty briefed the delegation on his Faculty, departments and the newly launched programs in English. He presented the attendants with faculty plans and text books and the challenges for these departments and the need to enhance students language of business.
Mr. Nafez Alhosainy, CCC , assured the idea of curriculum treats international system such as taxation and law. He added that graduates should be motivated to enhance their career in the field of IT and business language skills.
He added that his company is targeting fresh graduates for better qualifications.

The second workshop was with IUG units in which Professor Mohammed Awad, Vice President for IT Affairs and Dr Maher Sabra presented the attendants with ideas on their sector at IUG such infrastructure and software. Dr Fahd Rabah, Deputy Dean of Faculty of Engineering presented his faculty plans and programs and the way they treat market needs. Dr Sana’ Abu Dagga, Vice Director of Quality Unit, described the techniques IUG implement in terms of quality control.
