IUG celebrated the graduation of 24th group of students under the auspices of President Mahmoud Abbass in the conference hall at IUG on 23rd July.
On his speech, Mr Jamal Al Khodary, Chairman of IUG Board of Trustees, named the 24th group the “Intifada” as students joined the university at the beginning of the Intifada and worked hard to get their certificates in hard conditions. He added that this group should approach the future distinctively to compete successfully with other graduates.
On his turn, Professor Mohammed Shubair, IUG President congratulated graduates on the occasion of the graduation.
Prof. Shubair, who was awarded the noblest Legion of Merit from Board of Trustees on his retirement talked about the new council for IUG that is headed by Dr Kamalain Shaat.
Dr Nabeel Shaat, Minister of Media and Vice of Prime Minister and Representative of President Mahmoud Abbas, praised IUG and assured PA support for Palestinian Universities and institutes, especially IUG and expressed president’s Abbass congratulations. He talked about the responsibility in state construction.
Mr. Mohammed Munir Abdelaziz, Egyptian Ambassador to PA, congratulated graduates and asked them to continue their way on scientific research to serve the community.
The graduate Nirmeen Shaikh Khalil, who represented graduates in a speech thanked parents of graduates for their relentless efforts in supervising their sons and daughters.
She added that graduation happiness is a result of years of working hard.
