Deanery of Postgraduate Studies and Quality Unit at IUG held a scientific day entitled Postgraduate Studies at Palestinian Universities and current challenges.
Universities like Alaqsa, Alazhar, Annajah, Alquds Open University, Islamic University and Ministry of Higher education participated in the day that consisted of 3 sessions and 17 research papers were presented.
Presented papers treated approaches like establishment and development of postgraduate programs, e learning and postgraduate programs, research priorities in these programs, feasibility study and criteria, finance and graduates of these programs.
In the opening ceremony, Dr Abdallah AbdelMenem, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, talked about research and the responsibility for educational institutions.
Mr. Jamal AlKhodary, Chairman of Board of Trustees at IUG, assured the pioneering role of IUG in scientific research.
Professor Mohammed Shubair, IUG President, said that research should meet the needs of Palestinian Community and get use of information technology.
Professor Ahmed Abu Halabia, Dean of Postgraduate Studies, talked about launching new programs that participate in the development of Palestinian Society.
