Consultancy Assignment Opening/ System Developers/ programmers

 

The Islamic University of Gaza has received a grant from the Quality Improvement Fund (QIF)-Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Funded by the World Bank and EC, to implement the project of Improving Institution Management – Automating Administrative Procedure and intends to apply part of this grant for selection and employment of highly qualified four System Developers

Assignment Objective:

To be part of the small core staff responsible for the development of the software output of the project. The developers will work as one team to develop a complete system running against a Business Process Management (BPM) engine.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Duties and responsibilities of Programmers would be as follows:

” Cooperation with the Modeling Consultant

” Implement the detailed design developed by the Modeling Consultant in the BPM Engine

” Coordinate and cooperate with the Programming unit in IUG in the implementation of the developed software

” Cooperate with the Technical Writers to facilitate the development of the operational and technical Manuals.

Deliverables

The selected Programmers are expected under the terms of the contract to deliver the following outputs:

” Customizing the BPM Engine to IUG needs.

” Testing the customized BPM engine.

” Deploying the customized BPM engine to production.

” The migration to the newly developed procedures, upon IUG acceptance of the system.

Essential Required Qualifications, Skills, knowledge and Competencies:

” B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.

” Strong Java knowledge, practice, and experience. Java EE is a plus.

” Strong knowledge in Object-Oriented programming, Inheritance and polymorphism

” Writing Java classes as well as using Java interfaces and abstract classes

” Using Java collections Handling Java exceptions

” Strong experience with XML, JSP, servlets, and other Java extensions

” Strong knowledge in messaging and message oriented middleware

” Some understanding of Web services and related standards (SOAP, WSDL)

” Good skills in technical writing, code standard writing, and documentation

” Fluent English, reading, writing, and acceptance conversation skills
