The Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) has received a Grant from the Information for Development Program (InfoDev). The Grant is aimed at building local capacity in the target business communities, raising awareness and promoting the appropriation of information and communication technologies (ICT) by local entrepreneurs and small businesses, as tools to address their short- and long-term development goals. As well, the Grant aims at promoting business innovation and private sector development by improving the performance of business incubation activities of IUG.
IUG is pleased to announce the following vacancies:
1. Project Director: ( 9 Months*)
The project director will be responsible for the overall management of the project and its activities and must posses the following competencies:
• Minimum of Bachelor Degree from an accredited University with major course in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or any related field.
• Three Years of Professional Experience in project management and/or managerial work.
• Excellent Project Management skills – Candidates must be extremely organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once.
• Excellent Business Management and Communication Skills, and Team oriented.
• High Energy, Creative and Flexible – Candidates should be creative in their approach to building relationships with local advisors, business partners, etc and be willing to handle new and evolving roles.
• Excellent Command of English Language.
• Budgeting skills.
2. Technical Coordinator: ( 9 Months*)
The Project Coordinator must posses the following competencies:
• Bachelor Degree from an accredited University with major course in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Information Technology (IT) or related fields.
• Two years of professional experience in ICT related work with preference to Networking, IT solutions and Web management.
• Extensive knowledge of local industry and ability for excellent communication and networking.
• Excellent reporting and formal writing skills in both English and Arabic.
• Excellent technical, interpersonal and conceptual administrative skills.
• Excellent Command of English Language.
• Budgeting skills.
