Vacancy Announcement

The Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) has received a grant from the Quality Improvement
Fund (QIF) – Ministry of Education and Higher Education and funded by the World Bank
and EC for the project entitled: ‘Operation and Development for Islamic University IT
Incubator’. Accordingly, IUG is seeking for the following consultants:

1. Project Director (18 months‐Full time)
Minimum Requirements:
‐ Master degree in Engineering or management or any other related field.
‐ At least 5 years of proven past work experience in project management, preferred in
ICT or business incubation issues.
‐ Good knowledge in financial management.
‐ Excellent communication and team work skills.
‐ Fluency in English and excellent report writing.
‐ Excellent computer skills.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the successful implementation of the project through preparing project
implementation plan and providing adequate following up for the project activities.
2. Preparing and evaluating for all issues related to hiring consultants.
3. Managing financial issues and preparing procurement plan, financial reports
incompliance with donor’s regulations and IUG University finance office regulations.
4. Preparation of progress reports as required.
5. Leading the project team and ensuring team coherence and motivation.
6. Evaluation and monitoring of project progress at all stages of the project.

2. Project Coordinator (18 months‐Full time)
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in Engineering , management or any other related field
• Three years of professional experience in development projects, with preferences to
ICT or Business incubation.
• Work experience preferably in projects funded by international donors.
• Extensive knowledge of local industry and ability for excellent communication.
• Excellent reporting and formal writing skills in both English and Arabic.
• Excellent technical, interpersonal and conceptual administrative skills.
• Excellent Command of English Language.
• Ability to work in a team.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Following the systems and processes necessary for tracking the project.
2. Assist in preparing draft contracts and reports relevant to the project activities.
3. Managing project internal and external communication including drafting letters,
emails, reports, meeting minutes, etc.
4. Following up the implementation of the different components of the project as
instructed by Project Manager.
5. Preparing and coordinating for all project activities.

3. IT facilitator (18 months‐Part time)
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in Engineering , IT or any other related field
• 2 years of professional experience in development IT projects including web design.
• Excellent knowledge in multimedia production software.
• Excellent command of English Language.
• Ability to work in a team and to manage occasional heavy workload.
• Experience with local IT private sector.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Provide IT technical assistants to incubator tenants
2. Developing and maintaining the web site of the project.
3. Conduct all multimedia stuff required by the project.
4. Following the systems and processes necessary for tracking the execution of the
project.
5. Assist in preparing draft contracts, reports, terms of reference relevant to IT
activities.
