Established in 1978 since the establishment of the Islamic University. The Faculty considers the Islamic basics and principles such as the Holy Quran and its explanation, the Islamic Hadith and its explanation, the Islamic Belief, the Islamic Preaching "Da'ua" and its curriculum and principles and some other subjects, which help those basic subjects.

The Faculty joints the historical and the modern studies of the Islamic principles. That will help students to participate in rebuilding the Islamic Culture and in strengthening its morals and values in the modern Islamic society.

Specialties and Degrees:

The Islamic Ussoul (basics) awarded students Bachelor and Master Degree after passing 141 credit hours in the Bachelor Degree. The Bachelor plan is distributed to a period of four years, each year divided into two semesters. Students will award the Master Degree after having 36 hours, including 6 hours to prepare the research paper in a period of two years at least. The Master Degree is awarded in the following specialties:

• The Quranic explanation and its Knowledge

• The Islamic Hadith and its Knowledge

• The Islamic Belief and the Modern Doctrine
