Establishment

The Faculty of Arts was established in 1978. The departments of the Faculty were established in different stages. In 1978, Arabic Language Department was established and then the department of English in 1981. After that, the Geography Department was founded in 1990/1991. In 1992, the college started the Department of journalism& information. In the academic year of 1998/1999, Social Service department was founded then the History & Archeology Department in 2001.

Specializations and Scientific Degrees

The Faculty awards the degrees of B.A. & M.A. as follows: The college awards a B.A. in Arabic Language, English Language, Geography, journalism & Information, Journalism & Public relations, History & Archeology, Social Service and journalism & Information / Arabic Language after studying (140) credit hours.

Master Degree

In 2000/2001 the college opened the Master program in Arabic Language, History then Geography in 2006/2007.
