The Faculty of Information Technology (IT) has been established in 2004 and started its mission in the first semester 2004/2005.
The recent development of IT technology and the increase request of the society for the IT specializations was the main key factor for establishing the faculty.
Information Technology Degrees:
The faculty of IT offers the following BSc. Degrees in the following programs:
- Computer
Science
- Information Technology Systems
- Software
Development
In addition to that, Faculty of IT contributes with the faculty of education in offering B.Sc. in Educational Computer.
The faculty has a permanent committee that continuously upgrades the faculty programs to be consistent with the new development in information technology.
Conditions of Acceptance
The enrollment at the faculty of IT is based on the grades obtained at the secondary school level lath beginning of each academic year.
The student must complete (142) credit hours to graduate from Information Technology systems and Software Development and (143) credit hours to graduate from Computer Science program according to the following:
- University requirements (37 ) credit hours
- Faculty requirements (26) credit hours
- (70) credit hours for second and third program , (71) credit hours for first program, core courses.
- Optional courses (9) credit hours
The study usually takes four years (8 semesters) for normal student study.
