IUG granting 1st Master Degree to Male Deaf Student

Sadi Abu Amra is the first Palestinian deaf student to peruse a master degree in teaching English methods in the Faculty of Education.

The Islamic university has granted him a full ride scholarship to peruse his master degree, Which entitled “ The Effectiveness of Educational Environment Depending on Visual Thinking Aiming to Develop the Skills of Freehand Drawing to IUG Deaf Students”., and has taken care and motivated him to achieve that via providing him with all needed helping requirements, particularly, Interpal Organization.

Additionally, he was granted the opportunity to be part of Erasmus+ mobility programme to study a year in Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, so he masterfully learned the German Sign Language. He, 4 months ago, went back to Gaza finalizing his master degree.

Abu Amra, in addition to that, perused his master dissertation that was discussed by a the discussion committee, consisting of; as a supervisor and a Head, Dr. Majdi Aqel, inner discussant, Dr. Jamil El Tahrawi, and an outsider discussant, Dr. Hassan Mahdi.
