09 - Mar - 2019

In partnership with Soliya institution, the IUG foreign affairs held an information meeting on Erasmus+ programme for Virtual Exchange. This remarkable meeting highlighted the mechanism of working in a safe virtual environment, gathering all students from all around the globe in one virtual place to discuss various issues.

This online meeting, which links the USA, Europe, North Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, aims at granting students life and academic skills. Besides, rising and reinforcing their intercultural awareness and communication skills as well.

The Deputy Dean of External Relations Prof. Hesham Madi attached great significance to this program especially in the light of harsh traveling conditions which Gazan universities' students and academics have been suffering from. Therefore, he called for investing this opportunity through the Promotion of the culture of dialogue and joint work.

It is notable that the Islamic University is reckoned first in the virtual exchange program in the Gaza strip, and ranked fourth in Palestinian universities. Furthermore, IUG has signed two partnership agreements with Soliya institution and Shared Perspectives institution. More importantly, the coming days will witness the actual implementation on the ground.
